Chris Jones is a three-time Virginia Press Association award-winning editor and journalist and the founder of Chris Jones Ink where he enjoys coaching authors through book writing process. While helping authors develop their books, he used his graphic design and branding background to educate authors on the importance of marketing and self-promotion as it relates to their sales success.
Chris has served nonfiction authors in varying capacities from co-authoring and ghostwriting to editing, proofreading, and providing public relations services.
A magazine writer and editor, Chris manages two print publications and an online magazine. He’s also a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and the Association of Health Care Journalists.
Chris’s podcast, The Art & Business of Writing, helps authors navigate the waters of writing, marketing, promotion, and publishing. He has interviewed people like New York Times bestselling author John David Mann, USA Today bestselling authors Toby Neal and Joanna Penn of The Creative Penn, and Emmy award-winning broadcast journalist Efrem Graham.
As the co-partner of the Fredericksburg Independent Book Festival, Chris was excited to learn that part of the funds he will raise will help give the gift of literacy to others.
Chris lives in Virginia with his wife, Elizabeth, and their children Quincy, Hayden, and Olive.
