Kevin Grierson is a partner at the law firm of Culhane Meadows, one of the largest woman-owned law firms in the US, where his practice focuses on trademarks and tech contracts. He is the immediate past co-chair of his firm’s intellectual property group, a position he held for over seven years before he managed to convince one of his partners that herding cats could actually be fun and that she should give it a try.
Kevin grew up in New Jersey, came down to Virginia to go to college, and liked it so much he never left. After getting his bachelor’s degree at UVA, he received a master’s degree at William & Mary before heading back to law school at UVA. After finishing law school and clerking for a judge on the Virginia Supreme Court, he moved to the Hampton Roads area in 1993, moving back to Williamsburg in 2011 where he lives with his cat Moxie and his youngest son Kirk.
Kevin also serves on the board of director of the Colonial Road Runners, and he can often be found working the finish lines at local races to help raise funds for charitable organizations. When not working or helping with races, he can often be found running or biking, preferably on a trail in the woods somewhere, or spending time with his girlfriend Danielle.
Kevin is excited (and more than a bit terrified) to have the opportunity to participate in the Williamsburg Dancing with the Stars. He is looking forward to learning from Dede, his pro partner, and helping to raise funds for two very worthy causes, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Literacy for life.
