Lydia Scrofani is currently the Girls Soccer Director for Tidewater Sharks Soccer Club here in Williamsburg, Virginia and Varsity Women’s Soccer Coach at Warhill High School. She has recently decided to go back and teach at Christopher Newport University as an instructor for the Luter School of Business.
Lydia is a former Division I athlete who played soccer for the University of South Carolina from 1998-2001. Lydia went on to earn her MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) while simultaneously starting a career in college coaching. She was the assistant coach for two years at FDU before moving to Williamsburg to be the first assistant coach for the Tribe’s women’s soccer team at the College of William and Mary. After three years with the Tribe, Lydia decided to change careers and begun a new profession as a marketing director for Tidewater Orthopedics and eventually pursuing work as a professor in marketing for Thomas Nelson Community College and eventually Full-time Faculty for the Luter School of Business at Christopher Newport University. After two years Lydia made another adjustment and became a stay-at-home mom to two beautiful children, Grace and Braden, while working stints as a Coordinator for Moms of Preschool International (MOPS) in the Williamsburg chapter and Marketing Director for Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex. Lydia is married to Chris Scrofani, a Dancing with the Stars alum, whom she met while pursuing their mutual passion for making an impact on children through soccer.
In her spare time, Lydia enjoys crafts, chick-flick movies, antique shopping (more like looking), and spending quality time with her family.
