Roger E. Emory, MD is a double board certified plastic surgeon, with offices in Williamsburg, Gloucester and Abingdon, Virginia. Raised in Virginia Beach, Dr. Emory is a 1982 graduate of Kempsville High School and was a Chemistry major at the College of William and Mary. He was accepted to medical school at MCV and EVMS after his third year at Willam and Mary, and elected to forgo his last year at the College and enroll at EVMS. That was the best decision he ever made, as he met his wife of 30 years, Dr. Theresa Emory in anatomy lab, as her cadaver was next to his, and that’s the truth. After graduating from EVMS in 1989, the Drs. Emory both were fortunate to complete their training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and served as active duty military physicians when their training was completed.
After leaving the Army, Dr. Emory started his private practice, Plastic Surgery Specialists in 2000, and has been able to care for over 18,000 patients since that time. After opening the Williamsburg office in 2014, Dr. Emory has been voted Best of Williamsburg for four consecutive years. He enjoys travel, golf, music, and following college sports. He served on the Board of Trustees of the Virginia Athletics Foundation at the University of Virginia, and he and Theresa were blessed with a son, Kyle, now earning his MBA at Harvard Business School, and his cousins, Nate and Luke, who he and Theresa helped raise after the death of their mother. Nate and Luke are AV professionals, both working at White House Communications, serving at the White House under multiple Presidents.
